HIGH SCHOOL WINS
STATE UNIVERSITY FIVE LOSES ITS FIRST GAME OF BASKET BALL PLAYED THIS SEASON
The Lexington High School basket ball team won over the State University five at the State Armory by a score of 36 to 29 Friday night. The game was well played and superior team work won, the High School team being the equal of any High School team ever seen here, while the State team was playing its first game of the season and they have not had practice enough to develop team work as yet, but the material was in evidence and later in the season the team will doubtless prove to be one of the best State has had.
The game was fast from start to finish and the playing was all of a clean variety and no fouls were called for anything but the usual causes in most every game.
State's next game will be played next Friday night at the State Armory with the Transylvania five.
